Cognitive & IQ Assessments in Adelaide

Start with an initial consultation to discuss the assessment question and possible next steps.

Cognitive and IQ assessments can help explore intellectual functioning and patterns of cognitive strengths and needs. The first appointment is a conversation about the question you hope to answer; it is not formal testing or a guarantee that a full assessment will follow.

At NorthPsych Adelaide, the process begins with an initial consultation. A psychologist will discuss the assessment question, what information may be needed and whether formal cognitive or IQ testing is an appropriate next step.

Cognitive & IQ Assessments

Start With an Initial Consultation

If formal testing is appropriate, it is completed in person. The initial consultation, feedback and discussion of a report may be offered in person or by Telehealth where clinically appropriate. A full assessment or report is not assumed at the first appointment.

Where Formal Testing Takes Place

Formal cognitive and IQ testing is completed in person at our Adelaide clinic. The exact scope is discussed before any testing is arranged.
