Child Psychologists in Adelaide

When your child is struggling, you feel it too.

Our child psychologists in Adelaide create a safe, friendly space where children of all ages can feel understood — and where you, as a parent, are part of the team. We help with anxiety, big emotions, behaviour, friendships, school worries and ADHD, using approaches designed for how children actually think, play and communicate.

How We Help Children

Children don’t always have the words for what they’re feeling, so our psychologists meet them where they are — through play, drawing, stories and age-appropriate conversation. We work with worries and anxiety, anger and big emotions, sadness and low mood, behaviour that’s hard to manage at home or school, sleep and separation difficulties, friendship and social struggles, and the impact of family change. Every child is different, so each plan is built around your child’s stage, temperament and needs.

Working Alongside Parents

You know your child best, and you’re a central part of how therapy works. Depending on your child’s age, sessions may involve you directly or focus on giving you practical strategies to use at home. We’ll keep you informed, answer your questions, and make sure you leave with something concrete to try — not just a sense of what’s wrong. Where it helps, and with your consent, we can also liaise with your child’s school or GP.

Fees & Medicare Rebates

With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, Medicare rebates are $101.55 per session with a registered psychologist and $149.05 with a clinical psychologist. Fees vary by clinician, and we’ll confirm the exact fee and your gap before your child’s first appointment.
