Individual Therapy in Adelaide
A space that’s entirely yours.
You don’t have to carry it alone. Individual therapy at NorthPsych Adelaide is warm, confidential and shaped entirely around you — whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief or a life that’s quietly stopped feeling like your own. Our AHPRA-registered psychologists work at your pace, with practical, evidence-based strategies you can actually use between sessions.
How Our Psychologists Work
There’s no script and no judgement. Your psychologist takes time to understand what’s going on for you, then works with you on practical, evidence-based tools — drawing on approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness, matched to you rather than one-size-fits-all. We move at your pace, check what’s helping, and adjust as we go. You set the goals; we bring the clinical expertise to help you reach them.
Fees & Medicare Rebates
What you’ll pay depends on which psychologist you see, as fees vary across our team. With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, Medicare rebates are $101.55 per session with a registered psychologist and $149.05 with a clinical psychologist. We’ll always confirm the exact fee and your out-of-pocket gap before your first appointment, so there are no surprises.
What Individual Therapy Can Help With
We work with adults facing a wide range of challenges—anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, grief, trauma, ADHD, sleep difficulties, low self-worth, and more. Some clients come to us in crisis. Others are simply seeking clarity, insight, or support to navigate a tough season of life. Whatever brings you here, we’ll take the time to understand your situation and work with you at a pace that feels right.
Our clinicians draw on evidence-based approaches including CBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, and will adapt your treatment to suit your personality, preferences, and goals. Therapy with us is collaborative, grounded, and flexible. We don’t focus on quick fixes—but we do help you build lasting skills and insight that strengthen your confidence, resilience, and sense of self.
